Tom Seaver

There was a wonderful scene just outside of Citi Field on Friday afternoon, as the late Hall of Famer and New York Mets icon Tom Seaver was honored with a beautiful statue. Surrounded by Mets fans who arrived early for the ceremony, the 10-foot high 3,200 pound bronze and steel statue shows Seaver's iconic drop-and-drive delivery. In attendance was Nancy Seaver, Tom's widow, his daughter Sarah and fellow Mets legends such as Keith Hernandez and Mike Piazza.
