Atlanta Braves rookie right-hander Spencer Strider has been turning heads as of late with his electric fastball and eye-popping whiff totals. The 23-year-old Clemson product made history on Thursday night, becoming the first rookie pitcher since 1900 to record 11-plus strikeouts while allowing two or fewer hits in consecutive starts. Strider now has 102 punchouts in 65 2/3 innings, resulting in an outstanding 13.98 K/9 ratio.
