In last night’s contest between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Toronto Blue Jays, Albert Pujols not only got three hits to help push his Club on to a 6-1 victory, but also made a bit of franchise history. In the fourth inning of the meeting, after hitting a double off Blue Jays hurler Kevin Gausman, Pujols passed fellow St. Louis Cardinals legend Rogers Hornsby to become fourth on the Club’s all-time hit list. Additionally, after going long in the fifth inning, Pujols became the oldest player to homer at Rogers Centre at 42 years old.
