Ties Carlton Fisk with 2,226th game as catcher
Ivan Rodriguez - 2022 MLB TOPPS NOW® Turn Back The Clock - Card 78 - PR: 223
JUNE 16, 2009 — Ivan Rodriguez is one of the best catchers in Major League Baseball history, and on this day in 2009, he caught his 2,266th game. Interestingly, this tied him with all-time great Carlton Fisk (who was also nicknamed “Pudge”). Although his Houston Astros lost to the Texas Rangers, Rodriguez had a solid performance highlighted by a fifth-inning home run off Kevin Millwood.
