New York Mets closer Edwin Diaz’s brassy introduction song has gone viral, and in last night’s contest between his Club and the Los Angeles Dodgers, his walk-out song was extra special. The artist behind the iconic anthem, Timmy Trumpet, wielding his titular instrument, performed Díaz’s introduction live in front of the fans at Citi Field. Seemingly, Díaz was inspired by the performance, as it predicated the 29th save of his 2022 Major League Baseball campaign after he threw a hitless ninth inning and secured a 2-1 victory for his Club.
