After a stunning performance in yesterday afternoon's meeting between his Seattle Mariners and the Chicago White Sox, Mariners starting pitcher Luis Castillo has forged a new piece of Club history. The team record came after Castillo struck out his seventh consecutive batter to open the contest, just two strikeouts shy of the MLB record set by Miami Marlins hurler Pablo López with nine. Unfortunately, Castillo's performance wasn't enough to secure a victory for his Club, as the Mariners took home a 9-6 loss.
