Luis Castillo

Acquired by the Seattle Mariners from the Cincinnati Reds last Friday, starting pitcher Luis Castillo made his first start with his new Club against the New York Yankees on Wednesday afternoon. Castillo threw for six and 2/3 innings, striking out eight Yankees batters and allowing just five hits in the process. Thanks to some support from his Club's offense, Castillo walked away from his first Mariners start with a win, as the Mariners topped the Yankees, 7-3.
