Seattle Mariners pitcher Luis Castillo added another feather to his cap on Monday. In six innings against the Oakland Athletics, the two-time MLB All-Star was dominant, allowing no runs to score and striking out eight en route to an 11-2 victory. More importantly, Castillo got his 1,000th career strikeout, which earned a standing ovation from the Seattle fans. The hurler is the first Mariners player to record as many career strikeouts since Mike Leake in 2018.
