Sandy Alcantara

Last night, Sandy Alcantara was selected as the 2022 National League Cy Young Award winner after his remarkably successful Major League Baseball campaign. Incredibly, over the course of the season, Alcantara threw for an unheard-of (in modern times) six complete games, and a League-leading 228 and 2/3 innings, all while securing a commendable 14 wins for his Miami Marlins. Furthermore, not only did Alcantara win the first NL Cy Young Award in Marlins franchise history, he did so unanimously, putting an excellent capstone on what was a breathtaking season.
