The A's rookie turned a first-inning single by Seth Brown into a steal of second, then advanced to third on a wild pitch. He later scored on a sacrifice fly to give Oakland the lead. Ruiz is the first A's rookie to swipe 50 bags since Jose Canseco in 1986.
