Boston Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo has quietly been having a nice month of August at the plate. He entered Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers hitting .333. Verdugo led off with a solo blast, out of Mookie Betts' reach, to right field to tie the score at one. The first-inning shot made him the third player in MLB history to hit a leadoff home run in three or more consecutive games. He's the first Red Sox player to accomplish the feat.
