The Texas Rangers top-ranked prospect didn’t let the bright lights of the MLB Postseason unravel his debut. Outfielder Evan Carter stood tall at the plate, recording his first of two hits with a single in the fourth inning. Not only did the 21-year-old collect two hits on the day, but he also worked his way on base four times in the team’s 4-0 Wild Card Game 1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Carter became the youngest Rangers player to reach base safely that many times, while also becoming the second-youngest franchise player to appear in a Postseason game and knock in a hit.
