The Oakland Athletics were out to cause damage on Saturday and designated hitter Brent Rooker was right in the middle of it. Working with a 2-0 lead in the third inning, the 29-year-old demolished a two-run homer to left field to add to the advantage. Rooker would strike again the same inning, yanking a three-run shot after the lineup batted around. He's the first Athletics player to go deep twice in the same frame since slugger Mark McGwire did so in 1996.
