In the midst of a five-game win streak that has them just two games out of first place in the AL Central, Giolito spun together a masterful 13 strikeout performance over seven scoreless innings against Detroit. That was his highest output since last August 11, when he struck out 13 Athletics. The 9-0 victory improved his record to 2-2.
