Yordan Alvarez became the first player in Major League history with at least 25 home runs and 75 RBIs in his first 75 career games. The Houston Astros' slugger also set a rookie record with 16 multi-hit games in a single month, including a 4-hit performance on August 17. Alvarez's historic start earned him American League Player of the Month honors in August, batting .360 with 11 home runs and 31 RBIs.
