Tom Seaver - 2021 MLB TOPPS NOW® Turn Back The Clock - Card 212 - PR: 422
OCTOBER 29, 1969 — The New York Mets championship success in 1969 was cultivated largely by their pitching ace, Tom Seaver. The 24-year-old phenom led MLB in wins, brandishing an outstanding 25-7 record in 35 starts. In addition, Seaver held a miniscule 2.21 ERA over 273 and 1/3 innings of work and fanned 208 batters in the process. This stellar season landed Tom his first of three NL Cy Young Awards.
