Marcus Semien and Fernando Tatis Jr. led the way for all position players over the last four weeks to earn MLB Players of the Month in May. Semien was at the top of all qualified American League batters with a .368 batting average, .702 slugging percentage, and a 1.130 OPS. The San Francisco, California native also added eight homers and 22 RBI to his outstanding month. Over in the National League, Tatis Jr. posted a .353 batting average and a .824 slugging percentage in his 20 games played in May. The 22-year-old shortstop also clubbed nine homers and drove in a National League leading 26 RBI.
