J.D. Martinez remained one of the hottest hitters in Baseball and is showing no signs of cooling off. The slugger had another monster day, going 4-for-6 with three homers and four RBI. Martinez now has 12 extra-base hits through his first eight games played this season, which ties the MLB record set in 1994 by Dante Bichette. He also became the fifth player in MLB history to have a three-homer game with three different teams. J.D. looks to stay hot, as he sits at or near the top of many major hitting categories to start the 2021 season.
