MLB first: Notches two 100-stolen-base seasons
Rickey Henderson - 2022 MLB TOPPS NOW® Turn Back The Clock - Card 125 - PR: 274
AUGUST 2, 1982 — Rickey Henderson has gone down in Major League Baseball history as one of game’s greatest base runners, and for good reason. During a contest between his Oakland Athletics and the Seattle Mariners, Henderson stole his 100th base of the 1982 MLB campaign. Amazingly, this marked the first time a player had ever recorded two seasons with a stolen-base tally of 100 or more.
