Boston Red Sox all-time great Carl Yastrzemski passed another Red Sox legend, Ted Williams, on the all-time total bases list. Yastrzemski notched three hits in a meeting between his Club and the Baltimore Orioles, and despite losing the contest, 2-1, this passing of the torch still gave Red Sox fans something to celebrate. Incredibly, to this day, Yastrzemski is still in the top-10 for all-time total bases recorded with 5,539 reached over the course of his career.
