Alex Rodriguez
Collects 200th hit of 1996 season, franchise first
Alex Rodriguez - 2022 MLB TOPPS NOW® Turn Back The Clock - Card 167 - PR: 214
SEPTEMBER 13, 1996 — Alex Rodriguez became the first Seattle Mariners player to reach 200 hits in a single season. This milestone and franchise-history making hit came in the first inning, when Rodriguez notched an RBI single off hurler Travis Miller in a contest between the Mariners and the Minnesota Twins. The hit would be Rodriguez’s only one of the night, but his Club still took home a 13-7 victory.
