As of yesterday afternoon's 13-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies, the St. Louis Cardinals have smithed a new piece of Major League Baseball history, thanks to key contributions from 40-year-old Adam Wainwright and 42-year-old Albert Pujols. The Cardinals are now the only team in MLB history to have two players at 40 or older hit a grand slam and throw for seven scoreless innings in the same contest. Undoubtedly, both Pujols' and Wainwright's performances helped their Cardinals on to their blowout victory.
