Houston Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez stole the spotlight in what was a special 5-0 win over the visiting Oakland Athletics. The 25-year-old slugger bagged his second career three-homer contest, smashing longballs in the first, third and fifth innings off of Athletics starter Adrián Martínez. Alvarez now has a team-best 36 homers, which is also a career-high for the four-year veteran.
