Last night, for just the third time in MLB history, a pitcher made his big-League debut and walked away with both a double-digit strikeout tally and no walks allowed. That hurler was number-two-ranked Seattle Mariners prospect Bryce Miller, who also made history by becoming the first Mariners arm to notch 10 or more strikeouts in his debut. To make the 24-year-old right-hander's fantastic debut even more incredible, Miller carried a perfect-game bid into the sixth inning, paving the way for his Club to leave the Oakland Coliseum victorious, 2-1.
