Bryce Miller turned in a resilient effort for Seattle, leading a 3-1 win over Toronto in Game 1 of the ALCS. After surrendering a first-inning homer, the 27-year-old held firm, striking out three batters over six scoreless frames. Miller is the first hurler since 2018 to allow a leadoff blast in a Postseason game and then throw six-plus innings with no other runs allowed.
