The Atlanta Braves ace tossed seven strong innings and set career-highs in strikeouts (13) and whiffs (21) en route to his sixth win of the season. Fried’s gem was the 26th game of 13+ strikeouts by a Braves pitcher since the Club moved to Atlanta in 1966. “You just kind of take what the game gives you and just try to embrace a little bit more of a swing-and-miss game,” said Fried after the victory.
