MAY 5, 2004 — Mike Piazza, a 10-time MLB All-Star Game selection, has officially become the greatest power-hitting catcher the Game has seen. The star backstop wasted no time with his record-breaking 352nd most career home run from the position, sending a 3-1 pitch off the scoreboard in right-center field. The big fly pushed Piazza past Carlton Fisk for the most home runs by a catcher.
