Frankie Montas and Max Fried have been recognized as the MLB Pitchers of the Month for their dominant stand of work over the final month of the 2021 season. This is the first Pitcher of the Month honors for both recipients over their young careers. Montas owned a 3-0 record while holding a 2.19 ERA with 40 strikeouts over 37 innings of work. Fried was just as dominant, posting an unblemished 3-0 record with a 1.54 ERA and 36 strikeouts over 41 innings pitched.
