Veteran hurler Charlie Morton joined an exclusive club on Tuesday, notching his 2,000th career strikeout in the Atlanta Braves 4-3 win over the San Francisco Giants. The 40-year-old's milestone punchout came in the sixth inning when he got Mike Yastrzemski to chase his signature curveball. Morton is one of 19 pitchers in MLB history to record 1,200-plus at age 34 and older. "His stuff is really good," Braves Manager Brian Snitker said. "He might still be throwing like that when he is 50."
